BKBA - Ballina Killaloe Business Association
As part
of our on going awareness campaign on behalf of the Business Association,
we have put together a Magnetic Business Directory, which you
can place on your fridge, filling cabinet or use a mouse mat,
we would hope that all our members will put the directory to good
use in the future and encourage Business to Business support where
possible, especially in these hard times which faces all aspects
of our local businesses and community (“Local & Loyal”),
the recent Christmas Ad Campaign consisted of a leaflet drop (2000
leaflets to local houses & businesses), a Newspaper &
Radio Ad Campaign and our Banner’s situated at various locations
in Ballina & Killaloe. We hope this has helped with encouraging
all to “Shop Local This Christmas”.
We are looking forward to seeing you all
at the next general meeting which will be held in the New Year,
the exact date will be confirmed in January.
We would like to take this opportunity
to wish all our members a Very Happy Christmas and a Very Prosperous
New Year.
Yours sincerely,
Sharon O’Donovan

BKBA Newsletter
September, 2009

Welcome
to the Ballina/ Killaloe Business Association page on the discoverkillaloe.com
website. This Newsletter will be the first, in what we hope will
be a regular feature, to keep our members updated on what is happening
and what we are up to as a Business Association.
We held our official launch on the 27th
Aug, it was a great success and all had a great night. A couple
of the points we mentioned were: writing to the Co Councils about
Commercial Rates, the street lighting, the quality of the roads
and footpaths outside our businesses, and the derelict buildings
within our towns.
The Association will have regular seminars,
the first held on 22nd Sept, on ‘Beating the Recession’
was delivered by Mark Fielding, Chief Executive of ISME, with
a ten point plan to assist in surviving the recession.
We in the Association, see Events and Networking
as a core part of our mission and will regularly organize events
for members to promote business to business networking through
breakfasts, lunches and evening events to stimulate business awareness
locally.

The Association is currently exploring
possibilities of running a selection of quality training courses
at highly competitive rates and would hope that this would evolve
into a regular worthwhile center of learning for its members.
Please keep an eye out for upcoming training courses from the
Ballina/Killaloe Business Association.
We as a committee are dedicated to serving
the local business community on many levels. If you have any suggestions
on areas that we should explore or you would like to contact any
of the committee to discuss matters that you may feel relevant,
please see contact details below.
